Yes, there is a way to get Swamp Thing on Nintendo Switch. The process is a little convoluted, but it can be done. Here’s how:
First, you’ll need to create a Japanese Nintendo account. You can do this by going to the Nintendo website and clicking on the “Create a new account” button in the top right corner of the screen. Then, select Japan as your country and fill out the required information.
Next, you’ll need to purchase and download the game Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo from the Japanese eShop. This game is not available in other regions, so you’ll have to use a VPN or proxy service to purchase it from Japan’s eShop. Once you’ve downloaded it, open up the game and create a new character.
Now that you have a Japanese character created, exit out of Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo and launch your web browser. Go to Google Translate (https://translate.google.com/) and type in “https://accounts-us-west-2 .nintendo .net/login?service=social&type=create”. This will take you to Nintendo’s login page for American accounts. Log into your account with your email address and password, then click on “Create A New User” at the bottom of the page.
Enter all of the information for your Japanese character here – including their nickname (which must be 8 characters or less) – then click on “Submit”. Your account will now be linked with your Japanese character! Exit out of Google Translate and go back into Animal Crossing: New Leaf – Welcome amiibo . You should now see an option at the bottom of the main menu that says “Register Friends”. Select this option and enter in your friend code for your Japanese character – it will look something like this: XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX . Once they’ve been registered, they will appear as an NPC in your town!
