Desert Strike is a 1992 video game developed and published by Electronic Arts for the Mega Drive/Genesis console. It is a helicopter-based shooter set in the Gulf War. The player controls a AH-64 Apache attack helicopter and must complete various missions while avoiding damage from enemy fire.
The game was well received by critics, who praised its graphics and gameplay. It has been included in several lists of best Genesis games, and was ported to other platforms after its release. A sequel, Desert Strike: Return to the Gulf, was released in 1994.
