NASCAR 2000 is a realistic racing game that was released in 1999. It allows the player to race against computer opponents or other players via a network or the Internet. The game can be configured to simulate various NASCAR races, including the Daytona 500.
NASCAR 2000 offers several different gaming modes, including single race, championship, time trial, and practice. In addition to configuring the race type, tracks, and vehicles, the player can also set up how many laps or miles will be raced. The amount of opponents that the player faces can also be customized.
There are six different difficulty levels in NASCAR 2000; rookie (the easiest), intermediate, advanced, expert 1 (harder than advanced), expert 2 (harder than expert 1), and legend (the hardest). The higher the difficulty level selected by the player, the more points they earn for winning races; however, their car will also take more damage from collisions with obstacles on track and from opponent cars during a race. If a car becomes too damaged it will have to pit for repairs which will take time and money away from the overall race total.
The game features 8 officially licensed NASCAR teams and 12 drivers: Bobby Labonte
Jeff Gordon
Dale Earnhardt Jr
Terry Labonte
Mark Martin
Rusty Wallace
Michael Waltrip
Wally Dallenbach Jr
