Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy is an action-adventure video game developed by Eurocom and published by THQ. The game was released for the Game Boy Advance, Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Wii platforms.
The player takes control of the titular Sphinx, a demigod who sets out to stop Set from destroying the world. Accompanying Sphinx is The Mummy, who provides comic relief and assists Sphinx in battle. The two must travel across Egypt, solving puzzles and defeating enemies along the way.
The gameplay is heavily puzzle-based; many of the puzzles are based on Egyptian mythology and culture. There are also numerous platforming sections, as well as combat segments where Sphinx wields various weapons such as swords or magical staffs. Throughout the game, Sphinx can collect treasures which can be used to purchase new abilities or upgrades for his weapons.
The Wii version features motion controls which allow players to swing their controllers around to attack enemies or solve puzzles.
