If you’re looking to get started with Darksiders II, there are a few things you’ll need before hand. The first is an Xbox 360 or PS3 and the game itself. After that, you’ll need an Xbox Live Gold account or PlayStation Plus membership. Without these two things, you won’t be able to play the game online. If you don’t have an Xbox 360 or PS3 either, don’t worry; there’s also a PC version of Darksiders II available. Lastly, if you want to see some of the best tips for getting through the game without any trouble at all, make sure to read our complete guide below!
When it comes time to start playing Darksiders II, there are three ways in which you can do so: via your DVD player (for those who own the original), over your local network (if using a PC) or by streaming it online (via Xbox Live Gold and/or PlayStation Plus). Whichever route you decide on will largely depend on your gaming setup – if using a DVD player then obviously this will only work for those who possess the original game disc; if using a computer then hopefully everyone within reach has access to broadband; and finally, if streaming is your preferred method then internet speeds will obviously be vital. Once everything is set up however, getting into Dark Souls-style adventure mode couldn’t be simpler!
To begin with please ensure that either yourself or someone else has already inserted the supplied disc into your chosen console(s). Next download/install both patches 1 & 2 from either Bethesda Softworks’ website [1] or Microsoft’s Digital Download Service [2]. Finally fire up Steam and sign in before clicking Activate Product on the main menu screen. Now we head straight into creating our character – choose male or female as per usual but keep in mind that one important decision needs making right at this stage: whether choosing Good or Evil?
As soon as these initial choices have been made we can now commence loading out our hero with all manner of weapons & armour courtesy of Blacksmith Lucius – including his trusty Greatsword ‘Nemesis’ which grants +40% Damage against Demons whilst wielding another melee weapon simultaneously! Whilst we could simply jump straight into fighting hordes of demons spawned by Hellguard himself – seeking revenge upon his brother War for killing him during their childhood – why not instead explore Argus? This vast open world offers endless opportunities for exploration plus plenty more side-quests should we desire them…such as finding The Mask Of Set – granting its wearer invulnerability against magic while also briefly teleporting them randomly around Argus each time they take damage! Thankfully though defeating Demon Princes yields much better rewards than simply slaying Boars wandering around Argus so feel free to mix-and-match between objectives accordingly!
After exploring every nook & cranny however possible – often coming across new allies along the way such as The Witch Of Envy who can transform enemies back into innocents after slaying them – return once again when prompted by Lucius so he may forge new items specifically tailored towards our current combat style…after which it might be advisable heading off onto one final dungeon raid before moving onto yet another giant open world area filled with even more demon princes waiting patiently just waiting for us! And yes folks; no matter how many times players die throughout Darksiders II they always come back stronger thanks to Lazarus’ unique resurrection ability…provided they haven’t completely run out of Soul Gems by then 😉
