When Shannon arrived at the orange room, she couldn’t believe her eyes. She was surrounded by bras of all different sizes and shapes, but there wasn’t a d-cup bra in sight. Shannon didn’t know whether to feel ashamed or frustrated, but she decided to take a closer look at the other bras. Some of them looked like they might fit well, while others were too large or small. After trying on several bras and finding none that fit perfectly, Shannon realized that the d-cup bra probably didn’t exist because it didn’t conform to any traditional standards of beauty. Although Shannon eventually escaped the orange room without purchasing any Bras, she gained valuable insight into the way that traditional notions of beauty impact our everyday lives. The culture surrounding breasts is cyclical and ever-changing, yet oftentimes one size doesn’t fit all. By exploring different bra styles and sizes , Shannon discovered that no matter what shape or size her breasts are naturally , she can find an optimal fitting bra . In addition to learning about how bras can help support a woman’s body during exercise and daily activities , Shannon also learned how fashion can dictate what is popularly seen as attractive in society . While escaping the orange room may not have resulted in buying a perfect fitting bra , it did give Shannan invaluable advice for navigating increasingly challenging social climates where conventional conceptions of attractiveness play an important role .
