There is no definitive answer to this question, as everyone may have their own opinion on who the worst character in Rio is. However, some possible contenders for this title could be Nigel, Luiz, or Marcelo.
Nigel is a very unpleasant and mean-spirited bird who seems to take pleasure in tormenting others. He is especially nasty to Blu and Jewel, the main characters of the film. Luiz is a clumsy dog with a big heart, but he often makes mistakes which end up causing trouble for those around him. Marcelo is a cocky and egotistical toucan who loves to show off his singing skills, but his voice is not very good and it often annoys those around him.
All of these characters are certainly not very likeable, but if forced to choose one as the worst character in Rio then it would have to be Nigel. He is particularly vile and mean-spirited, and seems to enjoy making life difficult for others.
